rsync software package provides fast, versatile, remote (and local) file-copying tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rsync
rsync is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rsync package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rsync *
You will get with rsync package name, version, architecture and description in a table
